Please email your teachers using the email addresses (Miss Sinton)

or (Mrs Goodman)

We want to keep in touch and see how well you are getting on at home.

Don't forget that the 20 in 20 challenge results need to be in by Thursday before 3.00 p.m. so we can send them off in time. So get going with the speed jumps this week!

Stars of the Day:  22.5.20

Well done to all the children working so hard at home. We have chosen one person from each class to be our Star of the Day. Check out the website each day to see if your name comes up!

Dormouse Class - Marni

Marni has been doing so well on the MyMaths app. She has managed to complete all the activities and is doing really well with them. I am very proud of her. Well done Marni!

Squirrel Class - Jade

Jade sent me all of her work from this term's home learning and I was so impressed. She created a fantastic animal enclosure, some animal art and designed a can label. Super Work! Keep it up Jade.

A story with Miss Sinton

Story-time with Mrs.Goodman

Here are some pictures of Year 1 children doing their home learning. If you would like your child's picture up on the website then email it to your class teacher and it will be uploaded.

The new BBC Bitesize lessons are GREAT! We particularly enjoyed this song about feeling good about yourself!

If you have run out of reading books at home there are plenty more ebooks called Big Cat Collins which are suitable for all the different reading levels.

While the children are using the internet during this time we thought we would share the keeping safe on line rules.

Staying Safe Online

  • Don’t post any personal information online – like your address, email address or mobile number.
  • Think carefully before posting pictures or videos of yourself. Once you’ve put a picture of yourself online most people can see it and may be able to download it, it’s not just yours anymore.
  • Keep your privacy settings as high as possible
  • Never give out your passwords
  • Don’t befriend people you don’t know
  • Don’t meet up with people you’ve met online. Speak to your parent or carer about people suggesting you do
  • Remember that not everyone online is who they say they are
  • Think carefully about what you say before you post something online
  • Respect other people’s views, even if you don’t agree with someone else’s views doesn’t mean you need to be rude
  • If you see something online that makes you feel uncomfortable, unsafe or worried: leave the website, turn off your computer if you want to and tell a trusted adult immediately.

During this time keeping busy and active is important. However it is also important to have some down time too. The website 'GoNoodle' has lots of active things to do but it also has activities to help you calm. Try 'Flow' and 'Think about'. The website is below:
