School Council

The school council consists of ten school council members that represent years 1 and 2 and Mrs Goodman who leads the meetings.  Every class in Key Stage 1 have two school council members that hold their post for a term.  At the beginning of every term new school council members are selected through an election process.  The school council team meet up every Thursday afternoon and discuss the topic of focus.  This year the school council have introduced Play Pals to make playtimes even happier, carried out a litter pick with Mr Browne, had a meeting with Mrs Drakeford to share their ideas about improving learning at Howe Park School.  They have also made their own video for the governors about our curriculum, they organised the donation of presents at Christmas time, raised money with a cake sale and are now working on their latest project to organise the use of playtime equipment.  The school council often make questionnaires so that the other members of the classes can suggest ideas and possible changes for the school council to discuss.

The school council are currently making all the resources to run two stalls at the summer fete.  They will be looking forward to seeing you all there.

The school council lead our Playground Pals and also organise all of the equipment for the other children to use.  The children really enjoy playing with this equipment, and they also find a Playground Pal if they would like someone new to play with.
